I wonder....

I think SoHo would dig a cat carrier. I'm thinking more of the hammock kind.

If you want to see the whole cartoon just click on it.

What the???

I thought I might have drama over my Terry Schiavo post. No such drama developed. I'm being harrassed by 17-20 year old girls because I messaged one of my male friends. It's so funny that these girls are jealous. He isn't dating any of them. I haven't had this kind of drama since I was 19 or so. It cracks me up. I wouldn't doubt it if they "followed" me here. I swear I'm putting restrictions on my kids websurfing when I have them.

Link: A clearly stated article addressing Terry Schiavo's condition

As a somewhat educated person in Neurology, I have to comment on this case. I'm seeing lots of religious leaders and lawyers but what I'm not seeing much of is neurologists. I think that it is safe to say that the people that are upset about this case are not upset about the legal process but are upset because they think that the court ruled to kill a person that has self awareness. If I were not to have the education that I do, I'm sure that I would feel the same way. The images that are posted everywhere of Terry and her mother stir emotion. The pictures do not tell the whole truth. If you are a supporter of keeping Terry alive, I ask that you read this article. The author of this article explains Terry's condition a lot better than I could. Don't worry, it's not a bunch of technical jargon.

Oh my puny muscles!

I think I'm going to have to make this a weight loss blog too. I went to the doctor the other day for the dreaded annual. They weighed me and I weigh 12 pounds over the weight I swore I'd never reach. Damn it! I even rechecked at home. Not good news. So, I ate the weight watcher's meal at applebees today and went to 24 hour fitness for my first workout in a LONG time. Even if I'm not having a traditional wedding, I can't get married at this weight. I need something to hold me responsible. Since I can't afford weight watchers (student budget) I'll have to go solo.

You Belong in 1967

If you scored...

1950 - 1959: You're fun loving, romantic, and more than a little innocent. See you at the drive in!

1960 - 1969: You are a free spirit with a huge heart. Love, peace, and happiness rule - oh, and drugs too.

1970 - 1979: Bold and brash, you take life by the horns. Whether you're partying or protesting, you give it your all!

1980 - 1989: Wild, over the top, and just a little bit cheesy. You're colorful at night - and successful during the day.

1990 - 1999: With you anything goes! You're grunge one day, ghetto fabulous the next. It's all good!

OK, minus the drugs, it's pretty accurate. Drug use has plagued my family, I refuse to let it get ahold of me.

SoHo too, and my Tasha Bag

My tasha bag is a bit blah right now. It will spice up when I add the cables and pockets.

SoHo is pretty damn cute too. I have an incriminating picture of strewn cotton balls and a torn cotton ball bag, hmmmm who could have done it.

I am the cutest kitty in the world!

meros sleeping

He really sleeps in this old 6 pack box of Boulevard wheat. He loves it. Also, if you get a chance to try Boulevard beer I recommend giving it a whirl. It's my favorite beer, and it's local to KC.

What's goin' on

Look what my Honey brought me home from Vale, Chococat!

Here is a picture of my progress on my Tasha bag (from Knitty.com)

and finally the fate of the ugly Christmas present sweater. I think I'm going to make a cowl with my *very first* cables

Oh do I have plans for this monstrosity. I'm currently looking through my closet and taking out all the horrible sweaters I've accumulated from one place or another and reusing the yarn.

Finished in the nick of time

I finished my scarf on the way to the airport. Talk about cutting it close. I decided to do something else with the scarf. I folded it in half lengthwise and did an invisible seam. It actually turned out really cute. It was a fluffy skinny scarf. Since it is double layer it is perfect for their ski trip this weekend. I've asked my boyfriend to take a picture of it while they are on the slopes.

My scarf is doing some rolly-polly action. I've enlisted some lovely ladies for help.

almost done...

I'm almost done with my "mother-in-law's" scarf. It was suppose to be done at Christmas, but with school and procrastination it wasn't finished in time. I really want to just rip it out and do a different yarn. I used boulce and in this dark color (maroon) it looks like a towel. I'll put a pic in later so you can see the "towelness".
